Bunny Cafe San Francisco is a reimagined pet adoption space focused on rabbits, in collaboration with local rescue organizations. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and approachable environment for potential adopters, foster families, and rabbits.
We work closely with local rescues to facilitate events that emphasize education, responsible pet ownership, and a calm atmosphere for the animals. This approach aims to reduce stress for the rabbits and provide meaningful interactions for guests. We have designated quiet areas, educational workshops on rabbit care/well-being, and opportunities for one-on-one interactions with rabbits.
Our belief is that this approach can significantly benefit local rabbit rescues by increasing adoption rates and promoting proper care, while also offering the community a unique and positive adoption/fostering experience. Furthermore, we want to serve as a place for community members who are unable to own pets but want the comfort, companionship and love that rabbits can provide.

Meet our BEO (Bunny Chief Executive Officer) and founder, Alex the Great (@alex.thegreat100).
Alex, a Flemish Giant, was known worldwide as a therapy bunny and #rallyrabbit who spent his time in service to his family, friends, and community members alike. With appearances in the Bay Area and across the country, Alex spread love and ‘hoppiness,’ touching hearts and minds as only he could.
His legacy continues with Bunny Cafe San Francisco, where we hope to shed light on the proper care and keeping of bunnies everywhere. By collaborating with local rabbit rescues, serving locally-owned snacks and beverages, and commissioning local artists, Bunny Cafe San Francisco is a place for friends of all shapes and sizes.
